Dear friends,
   The pastoral plan necessitates the changes in mass times at the newly formed enlarged parish of Saint Jude the Apostle (Saint Andrew merges on July 9th) and the partnership with Saint Stephen (San Esteban). Change is never easy, but we have prepared a thoughtful analysis of the needs of our parish community.
  Thank you to everyone who helped with input into the new mass schedule. Since we are getting a parochial vicar (a second nearly full time priest) Fr. Luke Daghir, we are able to add a Tuesday morning mass at 8am and a Thursday evening mass in Spanish. We are also grateful for the help the retired priests have provided.
   This is only the beginning of the changes, including additional changes to the mass times. These newly posted mass times should be in effect from July 13 – Labor Day, when we will have a full review of the mass schedule at Saint Jude (and affiliated parishes) and neighboring parishes in the West and East sides of Erie. 
   As always we encourage you to come to mass, be joyful, and celebrate the mysteries of our faith in your every day lives. As the Eucharistic liturgy is the source and summit of our existence, it reminds us to celebrate with great enthusiasm the communion we share with one another. 
  Be sure of our continued prayers and discernment throughout this entire pastoral plan.
